To effectively implement a building SHM system, sensors are typically deployed on the ground floor, middle floor, and top floor. The system uses an algorithm based on the Ormsby wavelet filter to calculate the inter-story drift ratio (IDR), integrated with HAZUS damage indices to provide accurate assessments of structural health and potential damage.



Our sensors are specifically designed to monitor earthquake events. With the deployment of three strategically placed sensors and advanced algorithms, our system offers precise structural health monitoring. The pALERT S303 Tri-axial MEMS Accelerograph and CUBE work together to assess seismic activity and provide real-time monitoring through a Human Machine Interface (HMI). The HMI allows users to easily query seismic data and access SHM health reports instantly, providing a detailed view of the building's current structural health.

 

Additionally, raw data is available for further analysis via cloud-based monitoring, enabling users to track key parameters such as x, y, and z axial acceleration data, as well as seismic intensity. This data offers valuable insights into how the building performs during seismic events, allowing for immediate action if any issues arise.

 

Comprehensive structural health reports are generated in an easily interpretable format, often color-coded, to clearly indicate the level of structural health. These reports provide actionable insights, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding maintenance, repairs, or additional assessments.
